Junk removal in Colorado Springs, the plain version

You point, we carry, the truck leaves full. Everything else on this page is detail: what counts as a load, what the price is built from, and what we do with the things that still work.

Most calls are not one thing. They are a corner of the garage, the patio set that lost to the hail, two bookcases, a treadmill and some bags that have been waiting for a trip nobody made. That is a normal load, and the way to price it is to look at it. Two people come out in the window you picked, walk it with you, check how far it has to be carried and whether there are stairs, and name a number. If you say yes, it goes right then. If you say no, you owe nothing and the number holds for thirty days.

The truck holds about 20 cubic yards. A quarter of it is roughly a heaped pickup bed; half is a one-car garage with the car out; the whole thing is a packed two-car garage or most of the loose contents of a small house. We quote by how much of the truck you fill and by what the landfill will charge us for the weight, which is why a truck of concrete costs more than a truck of cushions.

What happens to it

Before anything is loaded for the dump, the crew pulls out what can go somewhere better. Working furniture and appliances, tools, bikes, usable building material: those are routed to donation or recycling where possible. It is the right thing to do and it keeps the tipping fee down, which keeps your price down. We do not promise a percentage and we do not name a charity, because what gets accepted changes week to week. What we promise is that the first question at the truck is whether something can be reused, not how fast it can be thrown.

Same day, next day, or booked ahead

Most days we can be there the same day if you call in the morning, and nearly always the next day. Booked work for a move-out, a PCS report date, an HOA letter with a deadline or a closing on a house goes on the calendar ahead of time so the truck is there before the day you need it, not on it.

What the price covers

The carry

From the room, the basement, the deck or the back of the lot to the truck. Two people, a dolly, straps and blankets for the doorframes. You lift nothing.

Sorting

Donate, recycle, scrap and dump, decided at the truck. Metal and usable items come off the dump pile first.

Disposal

Landfill or transfer-station fees by weight, and the surcharges for mattresses, tires, screens and refrigerant, listed by name on the quote.

Sweep-up

The space is broom-clean before the truck pulls out, and you get a dated receipt by text or email.

Questions about junk removal

Do I have to be there?

Someone does, at least for the look and the yes. For a storage unit or a rental you manage, we can meet a property manager, a neighbor or a family member with the key, and send you the price by text to approve.

Can you give me a price over the phone?

A range, yes: the table on this page. A firm number, no. The two things we can't see on the phone are the carry and the weight, and both move the price. The look is free, so there is no cost to finding out.

What if I only have one thing?

That's the $90-and-up line, and it is the most common call we get. A couch, a fridge, a mattress, a dead treadmill. If a neighbor has something too, put it together and you both pay less.

Do you take stuff from inside the house?

Yes. Most loads start inside. The crew brings blankets for the doorframes and takes doors off hinges when a piece needs it.

What about the HOA notice?

Briargate, Monument, the Powers corridor and most of the newer subdivisions have rules on what can sit in a driveway and for how long. Tell us the compliance date and we book ahead of it. You'll have a dated receipt if the HOA wants proof.

Do you haul in the snow?

Yes, seven days a week, through the winter. A storm day on the Woodland Park side can slide a booking by a day; we call if it does.
