How much is going?Rough 2026 budget
  1. $90+
One item or a small pileA couch, a fridge, a few boxes. About an eighth of a truck.
  2. $160
A quarter truckA bedroom's worth, or the back of a pickup, heaped.
  3. $375
Half a truckA one-car garage, a small basement, a remodel's worth of cabinets.
  4. $675
A full truckAbout 20 cubic yards: a packed two-car garage or most of a small house.

National cost-guide ranges for 2026. Stairs, long carries, heavy loads and surcharged items move the number; the crew sets it after a look, and you decide.

Look first, then a priceNobody quotes a firm number over the phone. The crew sees the load, names the price, and you can send them away.
Two people and the dollyThe crew carries from the room it sits in, down the stairs, across the deck. You do not drag anything to the curb.
Donate and recycle firstFurniture and appliances that still work are routed to donation or recycling where possible, which also keeps the tipping fee down.
Swept before we leaveThe space is broom-clean when the truck pulls out. No splinters on the garage floor, no screws in the lawn.

The town, in numbers

Why a hauling truck stays busy at 6,000 feet

Colorado Springs is the second-largest city in Colorado, it is heavily military, and a lot of it is built on a slope. Each of those puts junk on a driveway with a deadline.

494,743People in the city at the July 2025 Census estimate, in 202,515 households, with the north and east still filling in with new subdivisions.
32,688Active-duty service members at Fort Carson and Peterson and Schriever Space Force bases, with 51,069 family members. Every PCS season clears a garage against a report date.
39%Of households rent. Move-outs, turnovers and the furniture a tenant leaves behind are a weekly call for landlords and property managers.
6.4 moThe snowy stretch, mid-October to late April. Spring is when garages, sheds and yards get cleared, and when the mitigation piles on the west side get cut.

Three things that change the price

Why the same couch costs more in Rockrimmon than in Cimarron Hills

Stairs

Split-levels and hillside lots

A lot of this city is split-level, and the west side climbs. A sofa from a walk-out basement up an exterior stair is a different job from the same sofa in a Cimarron Hills ranch. We look so we can price it right, not guess high.

Weight

Heavy loads versus bulky ones

The landfill charges by weight. A truck of concrete chunks, wet soil or roofing tear-off costs more to dump than a truck of foam cushions that fills the same space. The price follows the scale, and we tell you which kind of load you have.

Surcharges

Mattresses, tires, screens, refrigerant

Some things cost extra to dispose of: mattresses, tires, televisions and monitors, and any appliance holding refrigerant, which a licensed handler has to recover first. Those lines show on the quote by name so nothing is a surprise at the truck.

The ground we work on

Built on a slope, under a mountain, with a dry season nearly eight months long

The city sits around 6,000 feet and climbs west into the foothills and up Ute Pass. Woodland Park is higher again, and the winter up there runs longer. That shape shows up in every job: driveways you can't back a truck down, walk-out basements, decks a storey above the yard, mountain lots with no turnaround.

It also makes wildfire mitigation a real, seasonal part of what gets hauled here. The lots on the west and north edges carry brush, scrub oak and dead pine that has to be cut back from structures, and the pile has to go somewhere. We take it, along with the stored lumber and the old fence boards that go at the same time.

We are in the city every day, from the older streets near downtown and Old Colorado City to Briargate, the Powers corridor and the Broadmoor side, plus Fountain and Security-Widefield by Fort Carson, Cimarron Hills by Peterson, Manitou Springs, Monument, Falcon, Black Forest, Peyton and Woodland Park.

How a job goes

Call, look, price, gone

1

Tell us what's there

Call or send the form, with a photo if you have one. A couch, a garage, a hot tub, a mitigation pile, the whole house. The phone is answered day and night and someone calls back to set a time.

2

The crew looks

Two people arrive in a window you chose, walk the load with you, check the carry and the stairs, and name a price. Usually the same day or the next; faster when a deadline is on.

3

You say yes or no

Yes, and it goes right then, with the truck already in the driveway. No, and you owe nothing. The number holds for thirty days if you want to think.

4

Loaded, sorted, swept

Usable items are set aside for donation or recycling where possible, the rest is loaded, and the space is swept before the truck leaves. You get a receipt with the date on it.

Where we haul

All of Colorado Springs, the towns around Fort Carson and Peterson, and up the pass

In the city we cover Briargate, the Powers corridor, Old Colorado City, the Broadmoor, Rockrimmon, downtown and the Near North End, and every subdivision between. South of town we are in Fountain and Security-Widefield most days of the week; east, Cimarron Hills by Peterson and out to Falcon and Peyton; north, Monument and the Tri-Lakes area and the acreage lots of Black Forest; west, Manitou Springs and up Ute Pass to Woodland Park.

Pueblo is outside our range. If you are south of Fountain and not sure, call and ask; the answer is usually yes.

Quick answers

What people ask before they call

What does junk removal cost in Colorado Springs?

For 2026 budgeting: a single item or a small pile starts around $90, a quarter of a truck runs about $160, half a truck about $375 and a full truck, roughly 20 cubic yards, about $675. A mattress is $70 to $130, a sofa $175 to $275, a large appliance $50 to $150 and a hot tub $235 to $415. Those are national cost-guide ranges, not a quote. We set the real price after someone looks at the load, and you can say no at that point with nothing owed.

Do you charge to come and look?

No. The look is free. If you want the load gone the same visit, the crew names the price on the spot, you say yes, and it goes. If you'd rather think about it, the number holds for thirty days.

What won't you take?

Paint, solvents, oil, chemicals, asbestos and medical waste. Those need a hazardous-waste route, not a hauling truck. Refrigerators and freezers go, but the refrigerant has to be recovered by a licensed handler first, so they carry a surcharge. Tires, mattresses and electronics are surcharged too, because the landfill charges us extra for them.

Are you licensed?

Colorado has no junk-removal licence, so nobody hauling junk in El Paso County holds one. What exists is a local business registration and insurance. The crews that work through this site carry general liability insurance and are registered to operate here. If someone tells you they hold a state junk licence, ask to see it.

We're PCSing out of Fort Carson. Can you work to a date?

Yes, and that is most of what June through August looks like here. Tell us the day the house has to be cleared and we book the truck ahead of it, not on it. Garage, storage unit, the stuff the movers won't take: one trip or two, with a dated receipt if housing wants one.

How steep a driveway can you handle?

Most of them. Rockrimmon, the west side above Manitou, the lots up Ute Pass: the crew carries from wherever the truck can safely park. A long carry or a flight of exterior stairs changes the price a little, which is why we look before we quote.
